Public Safety

Cordillera Public Safety oversees compliance and first responder efforts for the Cordillera community. Responsibilities include responding to all alarm calls, gate access issues, traffic issues, wildlife issues, trash removal & recycling, and Design Review Board & Covenant compliance.

Public Safety personnel are initial responders; NOT law enforcement, fire or ambulance personnel. However, Public Safety works closely with these public agencies in order to assure the best interests of the community and homeowners.

Reporting Emergencies 911

All true emergencies should be reported thru 911. Cordillera Public Safety is part of a county wide dispatch system. 911 dispatchers will contact Public Safety along with the appropriate public agencies. Eagle County does have reverse 911 which allows 911 dispatch to call homes in geographical areas and issue broadcast messages. Homeowners should keep one “old fashion” phone that is hardwired as most cordless phones will not work during a power outage.
